4 years agoWill never come back. I wanted to go out tonight to eat to relax and was unable to do so. While working today, I found out my grandmother had passed. After trying not to cry at work all day, we decided to go out to dinner since I didn’t feel like cooking. Understandable right? Decided I wanted to go to Tapas. Worst decision ever. Food, drinks, service- great! But the music... WAY TOO LOUD. Piercing high notes from the electric violin; couldn’t communicate with my daughter next to me unless she was speaking directly into my ear; then the table directly behind us had to raise their voices to communicate with each other, so now I’m having to listen their entire conversation while battling loud music. Additionally my spouse was sweating the whole time because it was so warm in there. For someone who was already struggling to hold it together all day, I reached my breaking point. Stopped eating, boxed my food, chugged my drink, and raced outside to cry so I didn’t embarrass myself in front of people in the restaurant. Management really should consider the atmosphere more. Seriously disappointing.

4 years agoSome things in life are overwhelming, some things are underwhelming, and well, the food here is... just whelming. The first disappointment was the complimentary chips and salsa. Since every Mexican restaurant does it, you can tell a lot about the place by the quality of that salsa, and it was very very bland. Salted tomato water basically. The taco Tuesday special was enough mass to fill me up, but the quality of the tacos was a little disappointing. The chorizo street tacos were ground beef dripping in sauce. I also ordered the chicken enchiladas to take home and there was hardly any flavor. There was ONLY unseasoned chicken in them that was whiter than sour cream. For $17 for the enchiladas, I expected a meal to remember, but I don't really see a reason to come back. Service was cordial and quick though, always gotta mention that. Also one thing more, the menu said the taco Tuesday special was $10, but in reality it was $12, which I was perfectly comfortable paying, but it says a lot about the attentiveness of a restaurant when they can't take the time to update the menus. It's a simple process and funnily enough there's a "credits" section on the back of the menu for the person that designed it. Might want to ask them to make some updates so there's no surprises with the customers. Final point, nothing to do with the food or dining experience, but there is a sign at the front of the restaurant that claims that there is a "new pandemic of people not wanting to work and you as the customer need to be patient". Very off putting by asking your customers to be complacent with the managers inability to run a sustainable business. Do not equate your poor business model to a globally unfortunate disease that has taken the LIVES of millions. Can't keep your business running while paying your employees enough and giving them a proper work environment? Then you go out of business, welcome to capitalism, that's the risk you take by being a business owner.

4 years agoFun Taco Tuesday with Joshua Keels performing, he is a fantastic happy hour/dinner entertainer. The service was great, very good bartending, and my Chicken Chimichanga was delicious, did not eat it all, leftovers! One recommendation is to improve on the chips. The salsa was good.

5 years agoGot the Verde chicken chimichanga, it was pretty good! Girlfriend got a carnitas taco and a fish taco - the carnitas was her fave, but the fish one was pretty tasty too. You get chips and salsa also. Marino the server was the best!
